Hi, I'm Daniel Kramer. Also known online as codankra and TheDanKToday.
My work is helping people observe, understand, and simplify their interaction with complex systems. Here is how I attempt to accomplish that:
✦ I founded Tewwie, LLC in 2023 after moving to Austin, TX and being dissapointed in how absent of competence and care almost every faucet of moving in a developed country can be. Tewwie's purpose is to explore how moving can be better than a choose-your-own-adventure where the paths include 4-5 digit USD prices and fees, scammers on online marketplaces, stressful physical labor, and feeling lost without resources or a network in an unfamiliar place.
Tewwie Furnish is an autonomous agent for sharing used furniture - digitalizing and crosslisting it from just a picture, handling all marketplace interactions, and contracting people to pick it up from you at any time, even if it hasn't yet sold.
✦ I'm working on a logging tool for grocery prices that is more useful than CPI or inflation prints in media. If you've ever felt out of tune with how the government (BLS) tracks inflation, or how the media reports it, CPI Pal (Open Price Data) is a more helpful tool to uncover a category of price changes actually relevant to you. With enough data, it will be able to generate personal hyper-accurate price comparisons, inflation stats, and budgeting insights. (it's free and open-source!)
✦ This coming year, I aim to become a financial advisor, after learning how even the smartest people I know are not as energized and self-directed as I am about their whole financial picture. There are some common-sense things that any LLM will tell you, and that's why I initially thought I had nothing to add and hesitated joining the industry, even with how interested I was. But evidently that doesn't break inertia or connect the dots to concrete goals enough to motivate them. And I think my AI-native software development experience can help shape the industry to serve otherwise smart concientious people who can massively benefit from little changes, without egregious fees.
